Robberies also down<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\nThe Interior and Police Minister also reported a sustained reduction in robbery reports, decreasing from 7,964 cases in 2023 to 6,754 in 2024, and further decreasing to 5,080 so far in 2025. This represents 1,674 fewer cases compared to the previous year and a cumulative decrease of 2,884 crimes, equivalent to 24.8%, with a percentage reduction of 13.2 points.\n\nRegarding the new preventive patrol model, Raful reported that the coverage is running at 100%, involving 1,148 agents deployed in 72 quadrants of four pilot zones, within a plan that will have an initial duration of six months.\n\nHe also assured that constant monitoring and evaluation of the program is maintained, as well as interoperability between security forces. Over the past weekend, specialized training was provided to new agents, with emphasis on the progressive use of force and handling of firearms, as part of institutional strengthening.\n\n\n
