{"id":473991,"date":"2025-07-04T11:22:41","date_gmt":"2025-07-04T15:22:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/deultimominuto.net\/en\/uncategorized\/these-are-the-new-amounts-and-costs-of-the-mandatory-insurance-policies-that-came-into-effect-this-month\/"},"modified":"2025-07-04T11:22:41","modified_gmt":"2025-07-04T15:22:41","slug":"these-are-the-new-amounts-and-costs-of-the-mandatory-insurance-policies-that-came-into-effect-this-month","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/deultimominuto.com\/en\/uncategorized\/these-are-the-new-amounts-and-costs-of-the-mandatory-insurance-policies-that-came-into-effect-this-month\/","title":{"rendered":"These are the new amounts and costs of the mandatory insurance policies that came into effect this month"},"content":{"rendered":"Santo Domingo.- The Superintendence of Insurance increased the economic amounts of the minimum liability limits that the mandatory motor vehicle and trailer insurance policies (Law insurance) must contain, which in turn raises the annual cost of the same as of July 1, 2025 through resolution 05\/2025.\n\nThe resolution increases the coverage and, in turn, the costs of the mandatory insurance for cargo vehicles, heavy machinery with self-propulsion, hearses, ambulances, electric cars, electric bicycles and scooters, buggies, and ATVs.\n\nFor automobiles, the minimum will be RD$500,000 pesos, which will have a premium cost of RD$2,750.00  and for private stations with up to 4 cylinders, the minimum will be RD$1,000,000.00, for the cost of RD$2,750.00.\n\nMotorcycles up to 135 cc (cubic centimeters) will have a minimum coverage of RD$200,000 pesos, for a cost of RD$1,337.00.\n\nFor public automobiles and stations, the coverage must be a minimum of RD$500,000 and one million pesos respectively, which will have a premium cost of RD$5,291.00.\n\nPrivate jeeps and vanettes (minivans) with up to 4 cylinders and a capacity of 5 passengers must have a minimum coverage of RD$500,000 and one million pesos respectively, for a cost of RD$3,689.00.\n\nPublic jeeps and vanettes (minivans) with up to 4 cylinders and a capacity of 5 passengers, also for RD$500,000 and one million pesos respectively, but for a cost of RD$5,533.00.\n\nIn the case of private and tourist buses with 10 or more passengers, the coverage must be one and two million pesos respectively, for a cost of RD$ 8,379.00, and for public buses the same coverage as private ones, but at a cost of RD$17,078.00.\n\n\n
