Santo Domingo, DN<\/strong> \u2013 The Council of Councilors of the National District<\/strong> approved this Wednesday the declaration of municipal mourning for three days due to the death of former mayor Rafael Antonio \u201cFello\u201d Suberv\u00ed Bonilla.<\/p>\n\n\nDuring an extraordinary session, the councilors unanimously voted for the approval of this ordinance, after the sad passing of Mr. Fello was known on Tuesday morning.\n\n\n

This provision also includes the placement of the national flag and the city flag at half-mast on the municipal buildings of Santo Domingo.\n\n\n

Councilors Pay Tribute to Fello’s Legacy<\/h2>\n\n\nThe Vice President of the Council, Junior Castillo Mena, praised the great career of Mr. Fello Suberv\u00ed, highlighting that in each of his public functions he performed with transparency and integrity, demonstrating his great managerial capacity. “Among all the mayors that the National District has had, he will be remembered as one of the best,” he pointed out.\n\nOn his part, the councilman of the Fuerza del Pueblo in the first constituency, Rafael Guti\u00e9rrez, recalled the transcendent role that Fello played in the pedestrianization of El Conde street, as well as in the creation of the Municipal Police.\n\nCouncilman Danilo S\u00e1nchez described the late political leader as an icon for seeking solutions to internal conflicts within the party. “Doctor Rafael Suberv\u00ed Bonilla humanized the profession of politics,” he added.\n\n\n
