Subsequently, he boarded a commercial flight bound for the United States.\n\nVargas Taveras is wanted by a court in the Southern District of New York, which accuses him of conspiracy to distribute and possess 500 grams or more of a mixture or substance containing a detectable amount of methamphetamine, in violation of Title 21 of the United States Code.\n\nHis extradition was carried out through decree 248-25, after being arrested in a search and capture operation on Rafael Augusto S\u00e1nchez street, Evaristo Morales sector, of the National District.
