Santiago, R.D.\u2013<\/strong> Elvis Mart\u00ednez starred in two historic nights with his show \u201cUn Camar\u00f3n en la Arena\u201d<\/strong>, held on Friday, July 18 and Saturday, July 19 at the Gran Arena del Cibao, achieving a double \u201csold out\u201d and establishing himself as one of the great exponents of Dominican bachata.<\/p>\n\n\nThe artist took the stage in the midst of an impressive production, accompanied by luxury guests such as Prince Royce, Wason Brazob\u00e1n, Ra\u00fal\u00edn Rodr\u00edguez “El Cacique”, La Perversa, Shelow Shaq, Jey One, Nio Garc\u00eda<\/strong> from Puerto Rico, Urbanda<\/strong> and DJ Carlitos<\/strong>.\n\nDuring both performances, Elvis overflowed with energy, emotions, and nostalgia, performing a wide repertoire of hits spanning more than two decades of his career. The artistic production, directed by Alberto Zayas<\/strong>, included giant screens, a professional dance troupe, and an immersive stage design, in which the artist emerged from the center of the stage, unleashing the euphoria of the audience.\n\nThe concert kicked off with a guitar solo that led to \u201cYou dancing with him<\/strong>\u201d, followed by songs like \u201cI’m going to love you<\/strong>\u201d and \u201cLaudano<\/strong>\u201d. Mart\u00ednez paused to thank the audience:
\u201cThank you Santiago and thank you Dominican Republic for joining me in making history on a unique and unforgettable night for all of us\u201d<\/em>, he expressed with emotion.\n\nThe evening continued with songs like “I give it all for you<\/strong>“, “Bigger than him<\/strong>” and “Hypocrite<\/strong>“, and then welcomed Wason Brazob\u00e1n<\/strong>, with whom he performed a duet “This is how I love you<\/strong>“, unleashing a wave of romanticism among the attendees.\n\nThey followed songs like \u201cLleva vida<\/strong>\u201d, \u201cNo te vayas<\/strong>\u201d and \u201cTu secreto<\/strong>\u201d, and a special moment where Elvis performed \u201cAmbici\u00f3n<\/strong>\u201d with a fan. Then he sang \u201cAs\u00ed fue<\/strong>\u201d, accompanied by a mini documentary that narrated his life, from his childhood as a shoeshiner to reaching stardom. At that moment, he sent a message of hope, highlighting the importance of work and perseverance.\n\nOne of the emotional peaks was the interpretation of \u201cMaestra<\/strong>\u201d, followed by the entrance of Raul\u00edn Rodr\u00edguez<\/strong>, with whom she sang \u201cLlorar\u00e1s<\/strong>\u201d and, on Friday night, also \u201cDame coraz\u00f3n<\/strong>\u201d, \u201cSu novio primero<\/strong>\u201d, \u201cMedicina de amor<\/strong>\u201d, \u201cEsta noche<\/strong>\u201d and the iconic \u201cNereyda<\/strong>\u201d.\n\nThe intensity continued with songs like “You know well<\/strong>“, “Love fable<\/strong>“, “Poor friend<\/strong>“, “Three words<\/strong>” and “Endless suffering<\/strong>“, until Prince Royce<\/strong> took the stage to perform the song “Veterana<\/strong>” with Elvis. The audience enthusiastically celebrated the fusion of their romantic bachata styles.\n\nThe show closed with “Directo al coraz\u00f3n<\/strong>” and a medley of great hits, including “Dile<\/strong>“.\n\n\n

Acknowledgements<\/h3>\n\n\nFriday night had a special ending when communicator Brenda S\u00e1nchez<\/strong>, along with representatives from Todo Tickets<\/strong>, presented Elvis Mart\u00ednez with a commemorative scroll<\/strong> for achieving a double “sold out” at the Gran Arena del Cibao, being the first Dominican artist to achieve this feat.\n\nLikewise, the Dominican General Society of Authors and Composers (SGACEDOM)<\/strong> and Todo Tickets recognized him for his outstanding artistic career. Upon receiving the tribute, Elvis pledged to continue making quality music for his audience.\n\nDuring Saturday’s event, the Municipal Council of the City Council of Santiago de los Caballeros<\/strong> declared him an Adoptive Son of the city<\/strong>, in recognition of his successful career and his contributions to Dominican musical identity through bachata.","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
