The Dominican Sports Hall of Fame began electronic voting among sports journalists across the country this Tuesday, July 22nd.\n\nThis was reported by Dr. Dionisio Guzm\u00e1n, president of the Permanent Committee of the Hall of Fame, who stated that this chapter is part of the selection process for the athletes to be inducted this year into the Immortal Class 2025, which will take place on Sunday, November 16th.\n\nHe stated that communicators specializing in sports will be able to choose two personalities who will be immortalized in the 59th version of the Hall of Fame. The chroniclers will have until August 24 to choose their future immortals.\n\n“As is tradition, the Hall initiates the electronic vote to offer the chroniclers from all over the country the opportunity to elect two future immortals, one in baseball and another in any discipline,” Guzm\u00e1n appreciated.\n\nHe stated that the ballots with the candidates are being sent to the different provincial guilds that group sports reporters, as well as individually.\n\nGuzm\u00e1n, on behalf of the members of the Permanent Committee and the Veterans Committee of the Hall of Fame chaired by Julio Mon Nadal, thanked in advance the collaboration of sports communicators with the election process.\n\nHe recalled that to date only the renowned sportsman Gonzalo Mej\u00eda has been chosen as the next immortal, in the capacity of promoter, of two who are exalted each year.\n\nThe 59th edition of the Hall of Fame will be held on Sunday, November 16th, in the auditorium of the institution at the Juan Pablo Duarte Olympic Center, starting at 10:00 a.m.","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
