Este reconocimiento es una reiteraci\u00f3n de que somos el banco referente de la mujer en Rep\u00fablica Dominicana\u201d, <\/p><cite>expres\u00f3 Steven Puig, presidente del Banco BHD<\/cite><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\nInez Murray, CEO of the <em>Financial Alliance for Women<\/em>, presented this recognition to Elizabeth Rojas, second vice president of Business Strategy for Women at Banco BHD, during the celebration of the Champion of Women&#8217;s Economic Empowerment Award, held in Rwanda, East Africa.\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>You can also read: <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/ab.deultimominuto.net\/estilo\/bhd-imparte-charlas-de-lactancia\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">BHD offers breastfeeding talks at Parque Iberoam\u00e9rica<\/a><\/h5>\n\n\nRojas highlighted that the Bank develops programs that support women through financial and non-financial solutions that are part of the Mujer BHD Gender Strategy.\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This achievement adds to the one received in 2024, in which Banco BHD was recognized during the&nbsp;<em>Annual Summit<\/em>&nbsp;of the&nbsp;<em>Financial Alliance for Women<\/em>, as Commitment Champion, one of the categories that make up the aforementioned award. BHD is the only Dominican financial entity member of this alliance and the only one that has been awarded twice in this category.<\/p>\n\n\nIn 2023, BHD was also highlighted by the Alliance as a <em>Change Maker Champion<\/em> and its president, Steven Puig, was awarded as an <em>Outstanding Contributor<\/em> for his personal commitment to supporting the women&#8217;s economy.\n\nThe winning institutions in 2025 come from Latin America and the Caribbean, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. These institutions have done outstanding work to meet the financial needs of women entrepreneurs, professionals, and heads of households.\n\nThe Financial Alliance for Women is a global network of financial organizations committed to advancing the female economy, considered the largest and fastest-growing emerging market.
