{"id":475942,"date":"2025-07-22T21:08:03","date_gmt":"2025-07-23T01:08:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/deultimominuto.net\/en\/uncategorized\/doctor-silvia-marte-a-pioneer-in-pediatric-dermatology-passes-away\/"},"modified":"2025-07-22T21:08:03","modified_gmt":"2025-07-23T01:08:03","slug":"doctor-silvia-marte-a-pioneer-in-pediatric-dermatology-passes-away","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/deultimominuto.com\/en\/dominican-news\/doctor-silvia-marte-a-pioneer-in-pediatric-dermatology-passes-away\/","title":{"rendered":"Doctor Silvia Marte, a pioneer in pediatric dermatology, passes away."},"content":{"rendered":"Santo Domingo<\/strong>.- Doctor Silvia Marte passed away at the age of 72, recognized for being one of the most influential figures in pediatric dermatology in the country.\n\nDr. Marte founded the Pediatric Dermatology and Cryosurgery Department in 1989 at the Dominican Dermatological Institute<\/a> and Skin Surgery “Dr. Huberto Bogaert D\u00edaz” (IDCP), where she served as head and teacher until 2021.\n\nGraduated in General Medicine, Dermatology and Dermatological Surgery from the Universidad Aut\u00f3noma de Santo Domingo (UASD<\/a>) and the IDCP<\/a><\/em>, she complemented her training with a specialization in Pediatrics, which marked the distinctive focus of her career.\n\nAuthor of the works Pediatric Dermatology, Diagnosis and Treatment and Cryosurgery in Dermatology: combined therapies, her academic legacy also extends to the advising of more than 25 specialty theses and the founding of centers such as Grupo M\u00e9dico Marte<\/a>, the Dermatology Clinic of Villa Mella and Clidermes in Los Alcarrizos.\n\n\n

Doctora Marte was an active member of the Dominican Medical College, the Dominican Society of Dermatology, and the Dominican Society of Pediatrics.<\/h5>\n\n\nThe family thanked for the multiple expressions of affection received after his passing: \u201cHis legacy will live on in every life he touched and in Dominican medicine, where he left an indelible mark.\u201d\n\nThe novena in his memory will be held from Wednesday, July 23rd to Thursday, July 31st, at 6:00 p.m., at the San Jer\u00f3nimo Parish.","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
