Matos received medical attention for more than ten minutes on the same field, surrounded by his teammates, before being evacuated.\n\nMatos, born in <strong>Los Mina, Santo Domingo<\/strong>, was signed by the Dolphins on April 28, 2024 as an <strong>undrafted free agent<\/strong>, after not being selected in the Draft. He is part of the <strong>International Player Pathway<\/strong> program, an NFL initiative that seeks to develop international talent.\n\nBefore dedicating himself to American football, he <strong>excelled in baseball and basketball<\/strong>. At the age of 16, he emigrated to <strong>Chattanooga, Tennessee<\/strong>, where he played basketball at <strong>Hamilton Heights Christian Academy<\/strong>. His athletic ability led him to the University of South Florida, where he later changed disciplines to focus on American football.\n\nCurrently, Matos is seeking to secure a spot among the <strong>53 final roster players<\/strong> of the Dolphins for the 2025 season, which begins in September. He is competing for a position with linemen such as Jackson Carman, Patrick Paul, Ryan Hayes, and Larry Borom.\n\nWednesday&#8217;s session marked the official opening of the team&#8217;s training.
