The sale of the US dollar in the country, in relation to the Dominican price, has been on an upward trend for several weeks, rising more than 70 points in its price in the last 20 days and after a sharp fall in the month of May.<\/p>\n
On July 1st, the selling price of the dollar was at RD$60.03 per one, and it went on to be quoted at RD$60.97 per one on July 23rd, for a constant difference of 94 points.<\/p>\n
The lowest level was reached on May 13th, when the selling price was quoted at RD$58.89 per unit, after having reached RD$63.48 per unit in March, its highest level in recent years.<\/p>\n
According to the latest Macroeconomic Expectations Survey of the Central Bank, from July 2025, for December 2025 an exchange rate of RD$ 61.98 per dollar is expected, equivalent to an annual depreciation of 1.06%, higher than the expectation recorded in the previous two months.<\/p>\n
Experts attribute this evolution, mainly, to monetary policy and the international environment, as well as to the demand for foreign currency in the coming months.<\/p>\n
Furthermore, analysts predict a year-on-year depreciation of 4.39% in 12 months and 4.60% in 24 months, both below the previous survey, projecting an exchange rate of RD$63.10 by the end of July 2026 and RD$66.10 by July 2027.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
