The dominance was clear, as the Panamanians failed to react or endanger the Quisqueyan victory.\n\nWith this triumph, the Dominican Republic improves its record to 2-1, with two games pending: this Sunday, at 10:30 at night (Dominican time), it will face South Africa, a game that is shaping up to be an accessible victory; and next Tuesday, from 2:30 in the morning, it will play the most difficult game against the United States.\n\nQualification to the <strong>super round<\/strong> (round robin) was secured with this victory over Panama.\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The races<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Second entry:<\/strong><br>Dominican Republic scored the first run of the game in the top of the second inning. Carlos Rodr\u00edguez received a walk, and after Marvin Rodr\u00edguez struck out, he stole second base. Dileccio P\u00e9rez grounded out 4-3; Yeison De los Santos received another walk and Yosuel Kelly singled to left field, driving in Rodr\u00edguez and putting the Dominican Republic ahead.<br><strong>DR 1-0 PAN<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Third inning:<\/strong><br>Elvin Mercedes opened the inning with a fly ball to left field. Then, Erick Claudio hit a double between left and center field. Luis Manuel Parra was hit by a pitch, and the bases were loaded after a walk to Carlos Rodr\u00edguez. Marvin Rodr\u00edguez hit a single that drove in two runs, extending the lead.<br><strong>RD 3-0 PAN<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Fourth inning:<\/strong><br>Dominican bats produced again with a three-run home run by Luis Manuel Parra to right field, scoring Elvin Mercedes and Erick Claudio.<br><strong>DR 6-0 PAN<\/strong><br>Panama debuted in the bottom of the fourth, scoring two runs after a single by Yassith Concepci\u00f3n, who drove in Joseph Cousins. Then, Concepci\u00f3n scored on two illegal moves (balk) by Dominican pitcher Jadiel Zayas.<br><strong>DR 6-2 PAN<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Fifth inning:<\/strong><br>The Dominican offense continued with three more runs. Jadiel Zayas hit a two-run home run and Elvin Mercedes scored on an error by the Panamanian shortstop.<br><strong>DR 9-2 PAN<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Sixth inning:<\/strong><br>Carlos Rodr\u00edguez scored the tenth Dominican run after a ground ball to first base.<br><strong>DR 10-2 PAN<\/strong><br>Panama opened the bottom of the inning with a solo home run by Yassith Concepci\u00f3n, their best hitter of the game (3-2, with two runs scored and two RBIs), but it was not enough to reverse the score.<br><strong>DR 10-3 PAN<\/strong><br>Despite his good offensive performance, Concepci\u00f3n was the losing pitcher.
