Local police arrived at the scene around 5:28 a.m., at which point the man barricaded himself inside the house. It has not been specified how many people were inside during the incident.\n\nGloucester County&#8217;s SWAT team intervened in the operation, which lasted for almost seven hours. As a precautionary measure, the electricity supply to about 300 homes and gas to 25 nearby residences were suspended, due to the risk of hazardous materials.
