Santo Domingo<\/strong>.\u2013<\/em> The Dominican College of Bioanalysts (CODOBIO<\/a>) began a protest on Thursday in front of the National Palace to demand that President Luis Abinader fulfill the 25% salary increase agreed upon in November 2024 with the Government.<\/p>\n\n\nThe president of the guild, Mar\u00eda Esther Santos, demanded that the increase be fully applied to the bioanalysts in charge of clinical laboratories and units attached to the National Health Service (SNS), many of whom have not yet received the adjustment.\n\n\n

No es una negociaci\u00f3n gremial como alega el Gobierno, es un compromiso oficial que no se ha respetado\u201d, <\/p>sostuvo.<\/cite><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\nCODOBIO estimates that, if the agreement is fulfilled, the base salary of Bioanalysts would increase to around RD$ 51,600 monthly, a figure that, although still lower than the regional average in the public sector, represents a significant advance for the guild.\n\n


Santos reiterated that in addition to the picket in front of the National Palace, the plan of action includes concentrations in hospitals, national mobilization days and possible stoppages, if the authorities do not respond to their demands.<\/p>\n\n
