He also drove in 7 runs<\/strong> and scored 5 times<\/strong>, contributing decisively to his team.\n\nHis performance allowed him to lead the entire league in extra-base hits<\/strong>, total bases (24)<\/strong>, and slugging percentage (.923)<\/strong>, as well as ranking among the top five in OPS (1.385)<\/strong>, batting average, hits, and doubles.\n\nBernabel, just 22 years old, debuted last July 26<\/strong> in the Major Leagues and, since then, has connected at least one hit in each of his first seven games<\/strong>, achieving multiple hits in four of them. In that period, he batted .500 in 28 at-bats<\/strong>, with 4 doubles<\/strong>, 3 home runs<\/strong>, 1 triple<\/strong>, 8 RBIs<\/strong>, 29 total bases<\/strong> and an OPS of 1.553<\/strong>.\n\nWith this distinction, Bernabel becomes the first Rockies rookie to be named Player of the Week since Nolan Jones in October 2023<\/strong>, and the first overall since Brenton Doyle in July 2024.\n\nAdditionally, he joined Mitchell Page (1977) as the only players in the modern era<\/strong> with at least 14 hits and 8 extra-base hits in their first seven games in the Major Leagues<\/strong>.\n\nSigned by the Rockies as a prospect in 2018, Bernabel steadily climbed through the minor league system.
