In the afternoon, the trough and the effects of the diurnal cycle will cause local downpours, electrical storms, and possible wind gusts in areas such as Santo Domingo, Monte Plata, S\u00e1nchez Ram\u00edrez, Azua, San Juan, Independencia, Bahoruco, Dajab\u00f3n, Santiago Rodr\u00edguez, and Monte Cristi.\n\n\n

As Tropical Storm Erin is located about 1,900 km east of the Lesser Antilles, moving west at 28 km\/h with maximum sustained winds of 85 km\/h.
