The Public Ministry accuses <strong>Alexis Medina S\u00e1nchez<\/strong>, brother of former president <strong>Danilo Medina<\/strong>, of heading a network of companies that, taking advantage of their closeness to political power, obtained millionaire contracts from the State in violation of the Law on Purchases and Contracting.<\/p>\n\n\nThe investigation includes charges of conspiracy, fraud, money laundering, and other crimes against several former officials and associates.
