He must serve his sentence at the <strong>Najayo-Hombres Correctional Center<\/strong>.\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>You may be interested in:<\/strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/Alexis Medina sentenced to seven years in prison for bribery, money laundering and association of wrongdoers\">http:\/\/Alexis Medina sentenced to seven years in prison for bribery, money laundering and association of wrongdoers<\/a><\/p>\n\n\nIn the same sentence, the court sentenced <strong>Francisco Pag\u00e1n<\/strong>, former director of the <strong>Oficina de Ingenieros Supervisores de Obras del Estado (OISOE)<\/strong>, to <strong>five years of suspended imprisonment<\/strong>, after accepting an agreement with the Public Ministry.\n\nIn addition to Alexis Medina, the court imposed various sentences on others involved in the scheme. <strong>V\u00edctor Mat\u00edas Encarnaci\u00f3n Montero<\/strong> received <strong>five years of suspended imprisonment<\/strong> and a fine of <strong>RD$500,000<\/strong>. <strong>Jos\u00e9 Dolores Santana Carmona<\/strong> was sentenced to <strong>six years of imprisonment<\/strong> in <strong>Najayo-Hombres<\/strong>, while <strong>Wascar Bernab\u00e9 M\u00e9ndez<\/strong> will serve <strong>five years<\/strong> in the same facility.\n\nIn the case of <strong>Paola Molina Suazo<\/strong> and her husband, <strong>Mart\u00edn Monte de Oca<\/strong>, both were sentenced to <strong>five years in prison<\/strong>, which they will serve in <strong>Najayo-Mujeres<\/strong> and <strong>Najayo-Hombres<\/strong>, respectively. These sentences, according to the court, respond to their direct participation in maneuvers that facilitated the obtaining and irregular handling of public funds.\n\nFor her part, <strong>Carmen Magalys Medina S\u00e1nchez<\/strong>, Alexis&#8217;s sister and former president of the <strong>Patrimonial Fund of Reformed Companies (Fonper)<\/strong>, was <strong>acquitted<\/strong> of the charges, as was <strong>Fernando Rosa<\/strong>, former director of Fonper, and other defendants.\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>About the case<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\nThe <strong>Antipulpo<\/strong> case was filed in November 2020 by the <strong>Specialized Prosecutor&#8217;s Office for the Prosecution of Administrative Corruption (PEPCA)<\/strong>.
