Santo Domingo.\u2013<\/strong> The Dominican Government<\/strong> announced this Friday the entry into force of Law No. 82-25,<\/strong> enacted on August 7, which introduces a modern and unified legal framework for the Family Property regime<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\nThe Minister of the Presidency, Jos\u00e9 Ignacio Paliza<\/strong>, explained at a press conference that the regulation frees properties titled under the National Titling Plan<\/strong> from the condition of family property, thus eliminating the impediment to free disposal. With this measure, thousands of families will have greater access to formal credits<\/strong> and more tools to manage their assets.\n\nPaliza highlighted that the law preserves the protective essence of family housing, ensuring that it cannot be foreclosed or sold against the will of its owners, but at the same time streamlines the processes for those who have received titled public lands.\n\n“It’s about balancing home security with the possibility for beneficiaries to use their properties for productive projects or urgent needs,” he said.\n\nThe executive director of the Technical Unit for the Titling of State Lands<\/strong>, Duarte M\u00e9ndez<\/strong>, highlighted that the legislation unifies criteria and eliminates unnecessary obstacles, offering greater legal security and clarity in the procedures. He specified that protection will be maintained for properties built with public funds within the framework of social improvement plans, low-cost housing under trust or state programs, which cannot be sold or seized.\n\n\n
