\u201cEl reguet\u00f3n incomoda y despierta la c\u00f3lera en los m\u00e1s conservadores, porque propone otra mujer, una perra desinhibida que controla su cuerpo, sus decisiones y su sexualidad\u201d, <\/p>escribe Cazzu.<\/cite><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\nThe artist questions the double standards of the music industry, pointing out that while men are applauded for narrating experiences of “thuggery” or explicit sex, women are required to justify the veracity of their stories and their right to occupy that narrative space is questioned.\n\nIn addition to a critical essay, “Perreo, a Revolution” functions as a personal and cultural guide that analyzes the role of women in reggaeton, vindicating their creative and sexual freedom. With this work, the artist confirms that her voice not only resonates on stage, but also in the intellectual debate on gender, art, and urban music.\n\n\n
