The top-10 is completed by <strong>Lithuania<\/strong> (4th), <strong>Latvia<\/strong> (5th), <strong>Italy<\/strong> (6th), <strong>Turkey<\/strong> (7th), <strong>Greece<\/strong> (8th), <strong>Finland<\/strong> (9th) and <strong>Slovenia<\/strong> (10th).\n\nOne of the most striking changes is the rise of Lithuania and Italy, which climbed five places each, while Turkey and Greece fell in positions compared to the previous projection.\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Spain, outside the favorites<\/h3>\n\n\nThe big surprise came with <strong>Spain<\/strong>, which went from eighth to <strong>eleventh place<\/strong>, leaving the Top-10. <strong>Sergio Scariolo<\/strong>&#8216;s team faces numerous absences: <strong>Lorenzo Brown, Alberto Abalde, Usman Garuba, Hugo Gonz\u00e1lez and \u00c1lex Abrines<\/strong> will not be available, and to this are added the bad results in the preparation, with three defeats in four games (two against France and one against Portugal).\n\nThe evolution of <strong>Alberto D\u00edaz<\/strong> and <strong>Santi Aldama<\/strong> will be key in the coming days, although FIBA justified the low Spanish position by recalling that, &#8220;although Spain should never be placed outside the Top-10, the absences and recent results condition its forecast&#8221;.\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Cyprus, the Cinderella of the tournament<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the bottom of the list, FIBA once again placed <strong>Cyprus<\/strong>, one of the hosts, as the team with the fewest chances of winning the championship.<\/p>\n\n\nThe <strong>Eurobasket 2025<\/strong> will start in less than two weeks with Serbia as the big favorite and with the curiosity of seeing if Spain, despite its difficulties, can recover its status as a continental power.","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Madrid.
