In addition, he is only <strong>the sixth player<\/strong> aged <strong>18 or under<\/strong> to achieve at least one three-HR game in that time.\n\nThe Mets&#8217; <strong>No. 10 prospect<\/strong> showcased his entire offensive repertoire on Monday. His first home run was to the <strong>opposite field<\/strong>, connecting on a two-seam fastball from right-hander <strong>Steven Cabrera<\/strong> (Angels) over the left field fence. The next two were to <strong>pull the ball<\/strong>: two high fastballs, one from the same Cabrera and another from Dominican <strong>Kauriel Le\u00f3n<\/strong>, which ended up in the palms beyond right field. Pe\u00f1a finished the day <strong>5-4<\/strong>, with <strong>six RBIs<\/strong>, raising his season offensive line to <strong>.299\/.423\/.540<\/strong>.\n\nHis evolution in the DSL has been remarkable. After starting the season <strong>26-0<\/strong> in his first nine games, Pe\u00f1a found his rhythm on <strong>June 14<\/strong> and, since then, is batting for <strong>.351\/.467\/.635<\/strong> in his last <strong>44 games<\/strong>. In August, his production has been phenomenal: <strong>.442\/.529\/.860<\/strong>.\n\nCurrently, Pe\u00f1a has a total of <strong>nine home runs<\/strong>, tied for <strong>third place<\/strong> in the circuit, while his <strong>OPS of .963<\/strong> leads among all minor league players for the Mets. In addition, he has shown <strong>enviable discipline<\/strong> at the plate, with <strong>35 walks<\/strong> versus <strong>33 strikeouts<\/strong>.\n\nWhile Sasaki already shines in Los Angeles, Eli\u00e1n Pe\u00f1a continues to write his own story.
