The bronze went to Puerto Rican Frances Col\u00f3n<\/strong>, with 11.46.\n\n“It’s not the result I expected, but I feel good about the work done. Now to focus on the next competition with the aspiration of reaching the top,” Alonzo expressed after the final.\n\nThe silver medal of the Creole sprinter represents the fourth medal for the Dominican Republic in Asunci\u00f3n (two silver and two bronze).\n\nIn the semifinal<\/strong>, Alonzo had shone by recording 11.08 seconds<\/strong>, a time that constituted a new record for the Junior Pan American Games<\/strong>, surpassing the previous mark of Frances Col\u00f3n (11.32, Cali 2021).\n\nThe athlete will return to the track this Wednesday in the 200-meter dash semi-final<\/strong>, an event in which she will seek revenge after having been disqualified for lane infringement in the Cali 2021 edition.\n\n\n
