You could enter the US job market"},"content":{"rendered":"<strong>New York<\/strong>.- Faced with the lack of nursing professionals throughout the United States, the Dominican Consulate signed a cooperation agreement with two academic entities, in order to achieve the training and adaptation that allows them to enter the North American labor market as nurses in different hospitals in this nation.\n\nThe agreement was signed by the Consul General of the Dominican Republic in New York, Jes\u00fas Antonio V\u00e1squez Mart\u00ednez; Dr. Fernando Arturo Rodr\u00edguez, president of Amara Medical University (AMU); and Dr. Rafael Reyes Almonte, rector of the Universidad Nacional Evang\u00e9lica (<a href=\"https:\/\/unev.edu.do\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/unev.edu.do\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">UNEV<\/a>), in an act described as of profound significance for the Dominican community in New York and for the Dominican people in general.\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote\"><blockquote><p>\u201cEste acuerdo representa una esperanza concreta para cientos y quiz\u00e1s miles de dominicanos y dominicanas que sue\u00f1an con una vida m\u00e1s digna, con oportunidades reales y con un futuro prometedor\u201d, <\/p><cite>expres\u00f3 el C\u00f3nsul General, Jes\u00fas V\u00e1squez.<\/cite><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\nThe agreement aims to promote a framework of cooperation that transcends borders and contributes to the strengthening of knowledge, professional training, health, and human development of Dominican citizens.\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>You can also read: <a href=\"https:\/\/ab.deultimominuto.net\/estilo\/efemerides\/dia-del-auxiliar-de-enfermeria\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><a href=\"https:\/\/ab.deultimominuto.net\/nacionales\/uniremhos-gradua-498\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">UNIREMHOS graduates 498 professionals: 88% are women<\/a><\/a><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\nAmong its objectives are the implementation of academic programs in the health area aimed at the community, as well as the creation of scholarship and training programs to facilitate access to the US labor market in the field of nursing, after obtaining the qualification of Certified Nurses and passing the required English exam to apply for a visa of national interest.\n\nThe agreement also contemplates academic and professional mobility between the Dominican Republic and the United States, the development of cultural and tourist initiatives that strengthen national identity abroad, scientific research, community outreach, and the promotion of Dominican values among the new generations.\n\nAs concrete initiatives, it was agreed to implement internships and supervised clinical practices, English language teaching programs with preparation for international exams, educational fairs, telemedicine activities, and prevention campaigns for the benefit of the Dominican community in New York. Likewise, a consular health desk will be established to provide guidance and information on how to access enrollment to apply for this program.\n\nConsul V\u00e1squez highlighted that this effort arises from a sincere dialogue with the community and responds to the shortage of nursing staff in New York, while offering an outlet to Dominican health professionals who do not find spaces to practice with dignity in their country.\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"> \u201cThis agreement is the result of a close, committed consular management deeply connected to the needs of our people\u201d, he emphasized.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\nThe alliance will have an initial term of three years, automatically renewable, and will be supervised by a joint committee headed by Vice-Consul Tamar\u00eds Garc\u00eda Marcano, along with representatives of the signatory institutions.
