<\/h2>\n\n\nNew York.<\/strong> \u2013 New York Mets catcher, Francisco \u00c1lvarez<\/strong>, will begin a rehabilitation assignment in the minor leagues in the middle of this week, after progressing in his recovery from a ligament tear in his right thumb, an injury suffered on August 17th.\n\n\n

Due to the short time away \u2013 barely a week and a half \u2013 the young catcher would not need an extensive adaptation period before returning to the big team.\n\nThe Mets manager, Carlos Mendoza<\/strong>, was surprised by the rapid evolution of the Venezuelan.\n\n\n
