It was the outfielder&#8217;s <strong>first grand slam<\/strong> of his career and the <strong>32nd home run<\/strong> of his season. Martinez&#8217;s 467 feet).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Ties<\/strong> with Giancarlo Stanton for the <strong>second-longest grand slam<\/strong> under Statcast tracking, only behind Kyle Schwarber (473 feet).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Surpasses his own personal best, which was <strong>453 feet<\/strong> in 2023.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n&#8220;I knew I hit it really well, but when I saw the ball go over the batter&#8217;s eye, I knew it was something special,&#8221; Greene stated after the game.\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This was only the <strong>second grand slam of the season<\/strong> for the Tigers, after the one connected by <strong>Javier B\u00e1ez<\/strong> on April 30 against the Astros. Before the game, Detroit was tied with the Rockies as the fifth team with <strong>fewer grand slams<\/strong> in the league this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Greene&#8217;s hit came with the Tigers down <strong>3-0<\/strong>, after a home run by rookie <strong>Jacob Wilson<\/strong>, and momentarily put Detroit ahead. However, the Athletics responded with two runs in the bottom of the third inning and ended up winning the game in extra innings<\/p>\n\n\nThe series in West Sacramento has been marked by home runs with the bases loaded.
