Said the congresswoman.\n\n&#8220;Today I come before you with the firm commitment to give an account, as established by our Constitution and as dictated by my conscience as a representative of the people. This report that we share today is not just a document; it is the reflection of a year of intense work, of active listening, of concrete proposals and of actions that seek to transform realities and of the conviction that politics can be different from how citizens perceive it,&#8221; said Congresswoman Espinal.\n\nThe Santiago legislator for the Fuerza del Pueblo expressed: &#8220;This first year of management has been one of intense work, of listening to the communities and taking their voice to Congress. My commitment is to continue legislating with transparency, defending social justice and the environment, and ensuring that Santiago and the country move towards a more inclusive and sustainable development model.&#8221;\n\nDuring the legislative period evaluated, Espinal participated in 97% of the sessions of the Chamber of Deputies, being one of the most active congresswomen with 40 legislative initiatives, of which 21 are of exclusive authorship and 19 in collaboration with other legislators, of the exclusive ones 17 are resolutions and 4 are draft laws. Among these are projects of great social and environmental impact, such as:\n\nGreen, Sustainable, and Resilient Cities Bill, which recognizes the rights of trees and promotes the conservation of urban trees.\n\nBill that typifies Ecocide, with penalties of up to 20 years for serious environmental crimes.\n\nBill that creates the Manolo Tav\u00e1rez Justo National Park, to guarantee water security and the preservation of historical memory.\n\nAmendment to the Social Security Law, in coordination with the Coalition for a Dignified Social Security and Congressman Pedro Mart\u00ednez\n\nLikewise, it has submitted 17 exclusive resolutions aimed at priority works for Santiago, such as the pluvial drainage of the Antonio Guzm\u00e1n and Ol\u00edmpica avenues, the repair of pipes in neighborhoods in the southwest, the construction of sports, educational and health infrastructures, as well as the installation of an INFOTEP extension in the province and a multipurpose roof, the latter two of which were approved.\n\nIn her congressional role, Congresswoman Espinal serves as vice-chair of the Environment and Natural Resources Commission, secretary in the Gender Equity Commission, and member of the Education and Ethics commissions, as well as several special commissions.\n\nThe legislator has also played an active role in overseeing public works and services, denouncing the precarious conditions at the Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda Cabral y B\u00e1ez Hospital, the lack of aqueducts in Sierra communities, and the questioned modification of Law 118-21, which she called &#8220;a monument to corruption.&#8221;\n\nIn terms of representation, Llaniris Espinal has made more than 150 community visits in neighborhoods of Santiago and in the municipalities and municipal districts of her constituency, supporting initiatives in favor of sports, children, mothers, youth, and environmental protection.\n\nThe hundreds of citizens who gathered took advantage of the space to request the deputy&#8217;s mediation so that the executive branch would execute dozens of works in different communities, which are being channeled through the chamber of deputies.\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>You might be interested in:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\nThe full report is available to the public and will be shared in community meetings and through various media outlets in compliance with the constitution and the congresswoman&#8217;s conviction that politics must be with the people and for the people.","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Santiago. \u2013 The deputy for the Fuerza del Pueblo for the 02 district of Santiago, Llaniris Espinal, presented her 2024-2025 Legislative Report, in compliance with the constitutional mandate of accountability (Art. 92), where she highlighted her active participation in the National Congress and in the representation of the communities that elected her.
