The announcement was made by General Jacobo Mateo Moquete, director of Sports of the National Police<\/a>, after meeting with both players in Seattle.\n\nRodr\u00edguez and Tatis stated that, although they cannot guarantee their presence due to their professional career commitments, they are available to promote and support the event in the country and internationally.\n\n\n

“They are just the first players contacted; we have instructions from Major General Ram\u00f3n Antonio Guzm\u00e1n Peralta to continue presenting the Games to our Major League stars, because this event is not just for the Police, it is for the entire Dominican Republic,” said Mateo Moquete.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\nThe headquarters of the International Police Sports Union (USIP) is in Dubai, chaired by General Mohamed Al Dhaheri (Dubai Police) and with General Gonzalo Londo\u00f1o (Colombian Police) as Secretary General.\n\nBoth visited the country and Major General Guzm\u00e1n Peralta swore in the Organizing Committee, headed by General Juan Guzm\u00e1n Bad\u00eda, Deputy Director General of the Police. It was in Dubai where Guzm\u00e1n Peralta presented the Dominican candidacy, with the endorsement of the President of the Republic, Luis Abinader.\n\n\n

Previous editions were held in Colombia, Dubai, and Italy, solidifying the event as one of the most important in the international sports calendar for police forces.\n\nIn addition to the Minister of Interior and Police, Faride Raful, figures such as the Minister of Sports, Kelvin Cruz; the president of the Dominican Olympic Committee, Garibaldy Bautista; the president of the 2026 Central American and Caribbean Games, Jos\u00e9 Monegro; and IOC member Luis\u00edn Mej\u00eda have expressed their support.\n\nIn the coming days, Mateo Moquete plans to meet with Dominican baseball legends such as Juan Marichal, Pedro Mart\u00ednez, and David Ortiz to garner their support for this historic event.\n\n\n
