<\/p>\n\n\nSanto Domingo<\/strong>.\u2014 The Caribbean Professional Baseball Confederation (CBPC)<\/strong> reported this Tuesday that, in accordance with the decision made by the Assembly of Presidents<\/strong> held on July 14, 2025<\/strong>, Commissioner Juan Francisco Puello Herrera<\/strong> will conclude his term on July 13, 2027<\/strong>, after 34 years of service<\/strong> at the head of the institution.\n\n\n

You may be interested in:<\/strong> Los Tigres del Licey announce the start of training for the 2025-26 season<\/a><\/p>\n\n\nWith the aim of ensuring an orderly and transparent transition<\/strong>, a Special Commission<\/strong> was formed, comprising the President of the Board of Directors<\/strong>, the Executive Secretary<\/strong>, and the Commissioner<\/strong> himself, which will be responsible for leading the process until the election of the new head by the Assembly.\n\nThe CBPC specified that, in the event that the election has not been completed by the indicated date, what is established in article 27 of the Statutes<\/strong> and the Seventh Resolution of the Assembly of July 13, 2023<\/strong> will be applied, in order to guarantee institutional continuity<\/strong> and the stability of the Confederation.\n\n\n

Strengthening internal governance<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\nDuring the same assembly, a resolution aimed at clarifying the nature and powers of the Board of Directors<\/strong> was also approved, confirming that this body is part of the Confederation’s governance structure, hierarchically subordinate to the Assembly<\/strong>, but with the responsibility of monitoring, supervising and following up on the fulfillment of its mandates<\/strong>.\n\nThe Board of Directors, as an intermediate body, will actively participate in the administration of the CBPC, propose initiatives and ensure compliance with the general and specific objectives of the institution, while the Caribbean Commissioner<\/strong> will continue to implement the decisions adopted by the Assembly.\n\n\n

Flexibility in the organization of the Caribbean Series<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
