{"id":481129,"date":"2025-09-02T20:44:07","date_gmt":"2025-09-03T00:44:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/deultimominuto.net\/en\/uncategorized\/dr-and-france-sign-agreement-to-boost-sustainable-and-inclusive-public-finances\/"},"modified":"2025-09-02T20:49:45","modified_gmt":"2025-09-03T00:49:45","slug":"dr-and-france-sign-agreement-to-boost-sustainable-and-inclusive-public-finances","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/deultimominuto.com\/en\/uncategorized\/dr-and-france-sign-agreement-to-boost-sustainable-and-inclusive-public-finances\/","title":{"rendered":"DR and France sign agreement to boost sustainable and inclusive public finances"},"content":{"rendered":"The coordination of the project’s implementation will be handled by Expertise France, a member of the AFD Group.<\/em>\n\nSanto Domingo<\/strong>.- The Dominican Government and the French Development Agency (AFD<\/a>) launched the project \u201cSustainable and Inclusive Public Finances\u201d, with the aim of contributing to the efforts of the Dominican Republic in the fight against climate change, natural disaster risk management and gender equality.\n\nIn that sense, this Tuesday the Vice Minister of International Cooperation of the Ministry of the Presidency, Olaya Dotel; the Technical Vice Minister of Planning and Development of the Ministry of Women, Addys Then Marte; the Vice Minister of Budget and Accounting of the Ministry of Finance and Economy, Jos\u00e9 Rijo Presbot; and the Deputy Director of the AFD in the country, Fran\u00e7ois Carcel, signed the memorandum of understanding that marks the beginning of the project.\n\nDuring the event, Vice Minister Olaya Dotel expressed that the country is advancing with this project towards a more inclusive, responsible, and transparent public management, in line with the National Development Strategy (END) and the Sustainable Development Goals.\n\nFor her part, the Vice Minister of Planning and Development of the Ministry of Women, Addys Then Marte, valued the vision of gender equality, climate action and risk management promoted by this agreement signed with the AFD.\n\n\n
You can also read: IMF visit to DR rekindles discussion on tax reform<\/a><\/strong><\/h6>\n\n\nLikewise, the Director of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Carlos Hern\u00e1ndez, stated that taking into account gender considerations, climate action and disaster risk management promotes long-term national development that involves all citizens.\n\nFrom the AFD office in the country, Deputy Director Fran\u00e7ois Carcel explained that this project is part of this cooperation agency’s strategy, which seeks to strengthen the Dominican State’s capacity to design and implement more inclusive, resilient, and sustainable public policies.\n\nThis initiative is born within the framework of the program \u201cClimate Action for Sustainable Development\u201d, which is phase 1 of a budget support co-financed by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and the French Development Agency. It is aimed at accompanying the country in the incorporation of climate change, gender, and natural disaster risk management approaches into the budget cycle and the national public investment system.\n\n\n
