{"id":481594,"date":"2025-09-05T14:42:13","date_gmt":"2025-09-05T18:42:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/deultimominuto.net\/en\/uncategorized\/mescyt-delivers-more-than-200-scholarships-to-young-people-from-universidad-del-caribe\/"},"modified":"2025-09-05T14:42:13","modified_gmt":"2025-09-05T18:42:13","slug":"mescyt-delivers-more-than-200-scholarships-to-young-people-from-universidad-del-caribe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/deultimominuto.com\/en\/uncategorized\/mescyt-delivers-more-than-200-scholarships-to-young-people-from-universidad-del-caribe\/","title":{"rendered":"MESCyT delivers more than 200 scholarships to young people from Universidad del Caribe"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Santo Domingo.<\/strong> &#8211; The Dominican government, through the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology (Mescyt), awarded 214 scholarships to outstanding young people this Thursday in an event held at the Universidad del Caribe (UNICARIBE).<\/p>\n<p>This government program aims to support Dominican youth in their professional training, recognizing the effort, dedication, and academic merit of the beneficiaries.<\/p>\n<p>During the ceremony, the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology, Doctor Franklin Garc\u00eda Ferm\u00edn, highlighted that these scholarships constitute a real opportunity to transform lives and open paths towards individual and collective progress.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Knowledge is the path that leads to well-being, development, and social peace,&#8221; he expressed.<\/p>\n<p>Similarly, the chancellor of UNICARIBE, maestro Jos\u00e9 Alejandro Aybar, highlighted that the scholarships do not have any distinction of origin, political affiliation or social condition, but are awarded based on academic excellence and the strategic needs of the country.<\/p>\n<p>He underlined that the selected careers respond to the demands of the national productive sector, such as software engineering, cybersecurity, software development, educational psychology, municipal administration, and digital marketing.<\/p>\n<p>The activity was attended by academic and governmental authorities, including: the rector of the Universidad del Caribe, Emilio M\u00e9ndez; the administrative vice-rector, Cheyney Pimentel; the administrative and financial vice-minister of Mescyt, Jos\u00e9 Cancel; Juan Medina, director of Cabinet, the head of national scholarships, Lanny Portorreal, and the dean of the School of Administration, Altagracia Tavar\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<p>The students expressed their joy and commitment to take advantage of this opportunity to contribute to the development of Dominican society.<\/p>\n<p>Among the scholarship recipients are; Justin Javier de Le\u00f3n Santana, Software Engineering; Daniel Jes\u00fas F\u00e9lix, Software Development Engineering; Lauri Altagracia Mart\u00ednez, Bachelor&#8217;s Degree in Educational Psychology; Robert Adonis Sosa, Cybersecurity Engineering; Rosana de Surs, Bachelor&#8217;s Degree in Municipal Administration; Edilberto Rafael Jim\u00e9nez, Master&#8217;s Degree in Municipality and Pamela Michel, Master&#8217;s Degree in Digital Marketing.<\/p>\n<p>With the awarding of 214 scholarships, the Government reaffirms its commitment to higher education as the engine of sustainable development of the nation and as a fundamental pillar of President Luis Abinader&#8217;s vision for the future.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Santo Domingo. &#8211; The Dominican government, through the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology (Mescyt), awarded 214 scholarships to outstanding young people this Thursday in an event held at the Universidad del Caribe (UNICARIBE).
