This is another dream come true for us at INEFI: to consistently maintain the organization of events like this. Thank God it culminated successfully,&#8221; expressed Rodr\u00edguez Mella.\n\nThe director of INEFI emphasized that, once again, this tournament combined essential factors such as sports, education, and family, with the participation of the 32 provinces through their educational regions.\n\n\u201cThis tournament pushes many of these young people towards the dream of reaching the Major Leagues. And for those who don&#8217;t make it, it will be an experience that strengthens their academic and personal development. If we continue to combine education with sports, as we have done from day one, we will have a better country for everyone,\u201d he pointed out.\n\nThe Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the final was Yeison Calca\u00f1o, who went 3-3, including a double and a home run, with four RBIs and two stolen bases.\n\nThe third place went to the representative of San Francisco de Macor\u00eds (Regional 07), who defeated the Mao team (Regional 09) 13-3.\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Recognized Players<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\nRegarding the special awards, the school competition recognized three players from the Espaillat province: Jos\u00e9 Armando Mora was distinguished with the award for best conduct, Kevin Morillo received the award for best pitcher, and \u00c1ngel V\u00e1squez was selected as the best defensive player.\n\nThe tournament was organized by INEFI, in coordination with the Dominican Baseball Federation (FEDOM) and Major League Baseball (MLB), under the technical direction of Eddy Gonz\u00e1lez, \u00c1lvaro Samboy and Eliu Reyes.\n\nIn the first edition of the event, the National District was crowned champion by defeating Santiago de los Caballeros in the final.","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Santo Domingo. &#8211; The representative of Moca (Regional 06) won the second version of the Second INEFI 2025 National School Baseball Tournament, after defeating the selection of the National District (Regional 15) 15-10 in the final held at the Banreservas Club Stadium.
