{"id":482562,"date":"2025-09-12T13:34:58","date_gmt":"2025-09-12T17:34:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/deultimominuto.net\/en\/uncategorized\/dps-bonao-reinforces-dengue-prevention-operation-in-the-caribbean-community\/"},"modified":"2025-09-12T13:34:58","modified_gmt":"2025-09-12T17:34:58","slug":"dps-bonao-reinforces-dengue-prevention-operation-in-the-caribbean-community","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/deultimominuto.com\/en\/uncategorized\/dps-bonao-reinforces-dengue-prevention-operation-in-the-caribbean-community\/","title":{"rendered":"DPS Bonao reinforces dengue prevention operation in the Caribbean community"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Bonao.<\/strong> \u2013 The Provincial Health Directorate (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/dpsmonsenornouel\/?hl=es\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">DPS<\/a>) of Bonao, headed by its director, Dr. Jos\u00e9 B\u00e1ez, continued this Thursday with the dengue prevention operations, moving this time to the community of El Caribe, where a multidisciplinary team carried out a wide range of actions.<\/p>\n<p>The operation included fumigation, delivery of educational brochures, and the process of descacharrizaci\u00f3n, which consists of eliminating or adapting unusable objects that accumulate water \u2014 such as tires, bottles, containers, or junk \u2014 to prevent them from becoming breeding grounds for the Aedes aegypti mosquito, which transmits diseases such as dengue, Zika, and chikungunya.<\/p>\n<p>The DPS director, Dr. Jos\u00e9 B\u00e1ez, recalled that the Dominican Republic was recognized last year for maintaining low levels of dengue cases, and highlighted that this 2025 the positive trend continues, since to date no case has been confirmed in the province.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The Minister of Public Health, Doctor V\u00edctor El\u00edas Atallah Lajam, has a firm commitment to the country and from this province we are working aligned with that vision to preserve the health of our people,&#8221; B\u00e1ez pointed out.<\/p>\n<p>The day was coordinated in conjunction with the president of the Neighborhood Council of the Caribbean community, Yovanny D\u00edaz Fern\u00e1ndez, representing the residents, who thanked the support of the health authorities in these preventive actions.<\/p>\n<p>By: Daniel Reyes<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Bonao. \u2013 The Provincial Health Directorate (DPS) of Bonao, headed by its director, Dr. Jos\u00e9 B\u00e1ez, continued this Thursday with the dengue prevention operations, moving this time to the community of El Caribe, where a multidisciplinary team carried out a wide range of actions.
