She is currently in her second year of high school at St. Michael’s College, where she has distinguished herself as a member of the debate team and was recently invited to join the school’s Honors Society.\n\nDuring the meeting, led by club president Miguel Guerra Armenteros, the reports of the Licey’s social responsibility initiatives in the last year were presented. The most solemn moment of the night came with a posthumous tribute to Rafael Antonio \u00dabeda Heded, a historical pillar of the institution, remembered through a video that moved those present.\n\n\n

Her grandfather, engineer Jaime Manuel Alsina de Castro, was president of the club (2017-2019), and her great-grandfather, Manuel Alsina Puello, held the same position in 1957-1958. In addition, she follows in the footsteps of her mother, Carla Gabriela, and of several aunts and great-aunts who were also godmothers of the glorious team.\n\n\n

\u201cSince I can remember, the values of pride, loyalty, and dedication have been pillars in my home. I grew up listening to stories of my grandfather and how he led the Tigers with passion. Today it is my turn to honor that legacy,\u201d expressed the new godmother in her words of gratitude.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\nAmong his plans, he assured that he will support all the social action activities of the club, with emphasis on projects that impact children and youth, in addition to supporting the team in each match.\n\nThe Licey Women’s Branch, chaired by Mercedes Elm\u00fadesi de Fern\u00e1ndez, is the only one of its kind in Dominican winter baseball and carries out extensive community work with programs such as Licey with the Community, Studying is First, Read and Learn, Licey Summer Camp<\/em> and Licey Children’s League<\/em>.\n\nWith Mar\u00eda Jos\u00e9 Armenteros Alsina as the new godmother, Licey reaffirms the value of family tradition, youth, and social commitment as an integral part of its identity.\n\n\n
