<\/p>\n\n\nSanto Domingo<\/em>.-The Venezuelan Professional Baseball League (LVBP)<\/strong> announced this Sunday the suspension of seven players for violating the Anti-Doping Program (PALVBP)<\/strong> during the 2024-2025 season, including Dominican pitchers Cristofer Ogando<\/strong> and F\u00e9lix Paulino<\/strong>.\n\n\n

The sanctions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

  • Willians Astudillo<\/strong> and Tyler Alexander<\/strong> received sanctions of 20 games<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Omar Bencomo Jr.<\/strong> and Jhoulys Chac\u00edn<\/strong>, repeat offenders, were suspended for 60 games<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Cristofer Ogando, F\u00e9lix Paulino and Yoanner Negr\u00edn<\/strong> must serve 30 games of suspension<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\nThe LVBP explained in a statement that the results were ratified after the review of the counter-tests, and that the decisions were made in accordance with articles 30\u00b0 and 41\u00b0 of the anti-doping regulations.\n\nLikewise, he recalled that the players have a period of 24 hours to appeal<\/strong> the decision, under Article 40 of the League’s Code of Ethics and Discipline.\n\n\n

    An effort for clean baseball<\/h3>\n\n\nThe professional circuit’s directive emphasized that the goal of the Anti-Doping Program<\/strong> is to “offer a clean spectacle to fans and raise awareness among players about the negative repercussions that the use of prohibited substances can have on their health and sporting career.”\n\n\n
