This event, organized by the Hispanic Basketball Association (HBA), is a posthumous tribute to Hugo Cabrera, one of the great figures of Dominican and international basketball. Cabrera, who lived in New York since his childhood, passed away in March 2022. The tournament, which bears his name, seeks to pay tribute to his legacy in basketball.<\/p>\n\n


The “2nd Hugo Cabrera Basketball Classic” will feature teams from Spain, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Guatemala, the United States, and the Dominican Republic, and promises to be a high-level competitive event.<\/p>\n\n
The Club San L\u00e1zaro team will be made up of the following players: H\u00e9ctor Samuel Villavicencio, \u00c1ngel Luis Garc\u00eda Pimentel, Eli\u00e1n Michael Rodr\u00edguez de Mesa, Jes\u00fas Abel Gonz\u00e1lez Lara, Alan Manuel C\u00e9spedes Rosa, \u00c1ngel de Jes\u00fas Gonell Alburquerque, Bryan Jos\u00e9 S\u00e1nchez Soriano, Wander Enrique Gonz\u00e1lez Groos, Romer Fern\u00e1ndez Guerrero, L\u00edan Ram\u00edrez and Brian And\u00fajar. The coaching staff will be headed by coach Luis Miguel Acevedo, along with Freddy Rafael S\u00e1nchez D\u00edaz as head of the delegation and Vladimir Lenin Guerrero Soto as delegate.\n\n
