This, according to the study <strong>\u201cMotorcycle Commercialization Sector, Realities that impact the month of January of this year\u201d<\/strong>, delivered by the <strong>Association of Motorcycle Manufacturers Dealers (AFAMOTO)<\/strong>.\n\nCrespo pledged to continue promoting initiatives from Congress to strengthen this sector, which continues to grow and constitutes a key means of transportation, especially for households with lower economic incomes.\n\nThe report was delivered by a delegation from AFAMOTO, headed by its president <strong>Dar\u00edo Lama<\/strong> (Avant Autos SAS), along with Mar\u00eda Isabel Bellapart (Agencia Bella SAS), Eric D\u00edaz (LR Caribbean Tuf RSL), F\u00e9lix Santana (Nipponia Caribe SRL) and other members of the sector.\n\nAccording to the study, <strong>motorcycle imports contributed $97 million in 2024<\/strong>. Furthermore, with over 1.4 million units in circulation, tax revenue from gasoline is estimated to exceed 15.23 million pesos, surpassing the records of 2023.\n\nIn the <strong>National District<\/strong>, motorcycle taxi drivers are essential for urban mobility, transporting hundreds of passengers daily. Their daily work includes an average of 36 trips at a cost of 75 pesos per ride, which represents approximate earnings of <strong>2,300 pesos daily, 13,800 pesos weekly, and 55,200 pesos monthly<\/strong>.\n\nThe motorcycle sector also generates indirect jobs in related commerce and services.
