This swell is expected to persist during the first part of the week, with <strong>potentially deadly waves and rip currents<\/strong>.\n\nFurthermore, meteorologists are closely monitoring <strong>two more systems with high development potential<\/strong>:\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A tropical wave located midway between the <strong>Lesser Antilles and the Cape Verde Islands<\/strong>, with a <strong>70% probability<\/strong> of becoming a tropical depression by the middle of the week in the central Atlantic.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Another tropical wave located about <strong>400 miles east of the Leeward Islands<\/strong>, which continues to generate <strong>disorganized showers and thunderstorms<\/strong>. Environmental conditions appear marginally conducive for <strong>slow development<\/strong> over the next few days as the wave moves rapidly westward to west-northwest at <strong>15-20 mph<\/strong>. It is forecast that it <strong>could become a tropical depression by the end of this week<\/strong>, when the system is over the southwestern Atlantic Ocean or near the Bahamas.
