“My husband was a hardworking, honest man who dedicated his life to his family and the land. It is painful that at this point we have no answers or justice. We only ask that those responsible receive the maximum penalty,” Rodr\u00edguez stated through tears.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\nThose present at the tribute also expressed their fear of traveling to the Dominican Republic, the country they call their homeland, due to the levels of insecurity. Many of them, absent Dominicans, assured that events like this fill them with uncertainty and helplessness.\n\nS\u00e1nchez’s family made an energetic call to the judicial and police authorities so that this case does not go unpunished, as has happened in other crimes that have shocked public opinion. They demanded exemplary sanctions and recalled that the life of Di\u00f3medes S\u00e1nchez was marked by honest work and the constant effort to leave a worthy legacy to his children.\n\nThe unanimous outcry of those present was that full justice be done and that those who planned and executed this horrendous murder be punished to the full extent of the law, which cut short the life of a man who was never linked to criminal acts and who was an example of self-improvement in his community.","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
