<\/h3>\n\n\nNEW YORK.<\/strong> \u2013 The president of the Dominican Professional Baseball League (LIDOM), Vitelio Mej\u00eda Ortiz<\/strong>, called on Dominicans residing in the United States to enthusiastically support the Serie del Cibao<\/strong>, which will be played by the \u00c1guilas Cibae\u00f1as<\/strong> and the Gigantes del Cibao<\/strong> at Citi Field<\/strong> from November 7 to 9.\n\n\n

You may be interested in:<\/a><\/strong>Rojas Jr. and Adames lead integrations of the Tigres del Licey<\/a><\/p>\n\n\nDuring a press conference held this Thursday in New York, Mej\u00eda highlighted the importance of these three meetings, which will be “valid for the Regular Series” and could be decisive in the classification of the teams.\n\n“These are official games that we bring so that Dominicans can enjoy our baseball. We want this experience to be unforgettable for everyone,” said the president of LIDOM, who thanked the teams involved and the businessman F\u00e9lix Cabrera<\/strong>, organizer of the event.\n\nThe series, which will be played for the Great New York Cup 2025<\/strong>, will mark the first time that two teams from the Cibao region face each other on this international stage.\n\n\n

F\u00e9lix Cabrera promises a show<\/h3>\n\n\nThe businessman Cabrera announced that the Cibao Series will be much more than baseball, as it will feature the presentation of between 15 and 20 musical orchestras<\/strong> throughout the three days.
“We want this platform to show the world what Dominican sport and culture is,” he said.\n\n\n

Figures Present at the Launch<\/h3>\n\n\nThe press conference featured the participation of emblematic figures such as Cooperstown Hall of Fame member, David Ortiz<\/strong>, who proposed dedicating the series to the memory of Octavio Dotel<\/strong> and Rubby P\u00e9rez<\/strong>, who died in the Jet Set tragedy.\n\nFormer baseball player Nelson Cruz<\/strong>, via a Zoom connection, congratulated the organizers and assured that he will provide all his support to the event. Likewise, the immortal of Dominican sports Winston \u201cChilote\u201d Llenas<\/strong>, current vice president of LIDOM, and the presidents of the participating teams, V\u00edctor Garc\u00eda Sued<\/strong> (\u00c1guilas) and Alfredo Acebal Rizek<\/strong> (Gigantes), showed their enthusiasm for this historic series.\n\nThe event was also supported by the Dominican consul in New York, Jes\u00fas \u201cChu\u201d V\u00e1squez<\/strong>, as well as former pitcher Bartolo Col\u00f3n<\/strong>.\n\n\n
