SFM<\/strong>. – With the judo competitions, as well as basketball, futsal, 11-a-side football, handball and volleyball, in the women’s division, the XI National School Sports Games Nationals<\/a> 2025 begin this Monday, which will be held until October 12 in this city.<\/p>\n

The multi-sport event, in which just over four thousand athletes will participate, is organized by the National Institute of Physical Education (INEFI).<\/p>\n

“We are ready to start with the main school sports event in the country. The Games are a celebration of the effort and talent of our students, who have worked very hard to qualify and be able to participate in this version,” said the executive director of INEFI, Alberto Rodr\u00edguez.<\/p>\n

Judo, which will be held at the M\u00e1ximo G\u00f3mez Club in San Francisco de Macor\u00eds, will award the first medals this Monday in shai (fight). The preliminary fights will take place from 8:00 in the morning, and from 3:00 in the afternoon will be the fights for the awards in the different categories.<\/p>\n

In the Techado Mario Ortega, the women’s basketball qualifying round begins, while futsal will take place in the municipality of Castillo.<\/p>\n

In La Vega, the preliminary round of women’s soccer 11 will open, at the Sports Complex Field of this city, and in Salcedo, at the Sports Complex, the women’s handball tournament begins, while women’s volleyball is at the Multiuso of Villa Tapia.<\/p>\n

The XI National School Sports Games 2025 have San Francisco de Macor\u00eds as their main venue, and La Vega, Salcedo, and Nagua as sub-venues, places where the different facilities that will host the competitions of the multi-sport event have been renovated.<\/p>\n

In the National School Sports Games, there will be competition in 21 sports disciplines across 201 events. The Games, which will last for 14 days, will directly impact more than 200,000 students and will have the support of an organizing team of more than 400 technical officials and a staff of over 300 people.<\/p>\n

A total of nine zones will be fighting for the supremacy of the Games, including Cibao Noroeste, which groups Valverde, Mao, and Montecristi; Cibao Norte (Santiago and Puerto Plata), El Valle (Azua and San Juan de la Maguana; Suroeste (Barahona and Neyba), Metropolitana (Distrito Nacional and San Crist\u00f3bal), Higuamo (Higuey and San Pedro de Macor\u00eds), Metropolitana II (Monte Plata and Santo Domingo), Cibao Sur (La Vega and S\u00e1nchez Ram\u00edrez), and Cibao Nordeste (Nagua and San Francisco de Macor\u00eds).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
