However, in the afternoon, the incidence of a trough, combined with local effects, will favor the occurrence of locally moderate to heavy showers, accompanied by electrical storms and wind gusts in provinces such as Santiago, La Vega, Santiago Rodr\u00edguez, Dajab\u00f3n, Valverde, San Juan, and El\u00edas Pi\u00f1a, among others nearby. Meanwhile, in the provinces of the east and southeast regions, short-lived showers are expected, present until the early hours of the night, after which the sky will again become scattered clouds.<\/p>\n<p>Cyclonic activity in the Atlantic basin, Caribbean Sea and Gulf of Mexico or America:<\/p>\n<p>Hurricane Humberto is located 475 km west\/northwest of Bermuda, with maximum sustained winds of 130 km\/h with higher gusts. It is moving north at 28 km\/h. This weather system poses no threat to the Dominican Republic.<br \/>Hurricane Imelda is located about 1170 km west\/southwest of Bermuda, with winds of 140 km\/h with higher gusts. It is moving east\/northeast at 19 km\/h. However, in the afternoon, cloud cover increases are expected that will generate locally moderate to heavy showers, accompanied by electrical storms and wind gusts towards provinces of the Cibao, the Central Mountain Range and the border area, especially Santiago, Valverde, Santiago Rodr\u00edguez, La Vega, San Juan and El\u00edas Pi\u00f1a.
