The Argentine Justice Department charged this Tuesday with money laundering to congressman Jos\u00e9 Luis Espert, who resigned this Sunday from being a candidate for La Libertad Avanza (LLA), the party of President Javier Milei, in the legislative elections of October 26, after a scandal erupted over his links with a businessman accused of fraud and drug trafficking in the United States.<\/p>\n
Following the indictment, prosecutor Fernando Dom\u00ednguez opened a judicial investigation against Espert, as confirmed to EFE by sources in the case, following a complaint against the accused for allegedly having received $200,000 from a company linked to the Argentinian Federico Andr\u00e9s ‘Fred’ Machado, accused of drug trafficking in the United States.<\/p>\n
