It details that after committing the crime, Cuevas appeared before the National Police on Friday, May 24, 2024, around 10:30 p.m., where he confessed to the facts.\n\nThe corresponding autopsy was performed on the remains, establishing the case as a violent death of homicidal medico-legal etiology. In the process, it was not possible to determine what the defendant used to commit the crime, the mechanism of death, or the cause, due to the state of the body.\n\n\n

Then, the next day, May 26, the investigators, a canine unit, and a forensic doctor in the continuation of the search found other parts of the body in nearby places.\n\nAccording to the complaint in the case filed by the victim’s family, the defendant had previously threatened his ex-partner with death on several occasions.\n\nThe report established that Cuevas had kidnapped the woman around 9:32 p.m. on May 23, 2024, as the victim was going to her workplace in a hospital in San Cristobal, which she did not reach.\n\n\n
