Santo Domingo.<\/strong> \u2013 Amidst an atmosphere of deep sorrow and consternation, the remains of Esteisy Carolina Adames, a young woman of just 19 years old, who was shot to death last Saturday in the Los Frailes sector, Santo Domingo Este, are being mourned.<\/p>\n

The tragedy has shaken the entire community, after it was confirmed that the alleged perpetrator of the crime is Cecilio Lantigua Terrero, 51 years old, known as “Luis Banana”, who, according to family versions, would have acted driven by a dispute related to a dwelling.<\/p>\n

With tears, the victim’s mother, Estefan\u00eda Adames, asked for clarification of the rumors circulating on social media and explained the context of the event.<\/p>\n

“I want all the false information to be refuted, please. My sister had a son with a man named Isidro Zabala, who died on Thursday. But the killer is his nephew, Cecilio. When the old man was alive, he always said that the ranch was his, that he was going to keep it,” the mother recounted.<\/p>\n

According to what she explained, on the day of the crime, her sister had only requested a copy of the death certificate of the deceased Isidro to justify her absence from work.<\/p>\n

“She told Luis (killer) to please give her the death certificate so she could take a picture. And he replied: ‘Are you asking me for a death certificate?’. Then he said ‘I’ll be right back, I’ll bring it to you’. When he returned, he found my sister at the door and shot her. He also shot at her husband, but he managed to run. My daughter tried to move with a crutch and that’s when he got her, my nephew and another boy named Jhon,” the mother recounted between sobs.<\/p>\n

The attack also left three people injured, identified as Estarlin Guillermo, Escarly Guillermo (26 years old, in delicate condition at the Dar\u00edo Contreras hospital) and Jhon Henry Tapia Santana, 27 years old. The last two were discharged this Sunday, according to relatives.<\/p>\n

Friends and neighbors describe Esteisy as a cheerful, hardworking young woman, and beloved by all. “She was a good girl, cheerful, healthy, happy, very good,” expressed Santa, a close friend of the family, through tears. Meanwhile, another neighbor, Francisca, demanded that the authorities do justice.<\/p>\n

“This has us devastated. We are a poor family, we demand justice, because as long as we continue like this without applying the law, criminals will continue to do harm and this country will not move forward.”<\/p>\n

The burial of Esteisy Carolina Adames is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. this Monday at the Cristo Redentor cemetery, where family, friends, and neighbors will gather to say their final goodbyes.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
