This resolution annuls the agreement of the Governing Board that allowed said constructions.\n\nThe TSJM also imposed the payment of legal costs on the appealing parties, establishing a maximum of <strong>6,000 euros for the Madrid City Council and 12,000 for Real Madrid Club de F\u00fatbol<\/strong>. However, the ruling can be appealed in cassation within thirty days.\n\nThe court maintains that neither the City Council nor the white club demonstrated that the execution of the parking lots responded to a <strong>public or general interest<\/strong>, as required by urban planning regulations, and warned about the <strong>negative environmental impact<\/strong>, including the possible elimination of green areas and the increase in atmospheric and acoustic pollution.\n\nLikewise, the magistrates agreed that the execution projects <strong>infringe the 2017 Special Plan (PE)<\/strong>, relying on the technical reports presented by the neighborhood association, which they considered as valid as those provided by the administration.\n\nThe ruling also indicates that the planned 650-meter tunnel to connect the parking lot on Padre Dami\u00e1n street with the stadium&#8217;s parking lot primarily responds to a <strong>private interest of Real Madrid<\/strong>, without objective evidence that it helps alleviate traffic congestion in the area.\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Following the first failure, issued a year ago, the mayor of Madrid, <strong>Jos\u00e9 Luis Mart\u00ednez-Almeida<\/strong>, ordered Real Madrid to stop the works, guarantee the safety of the area and restore the affected surfaces to avoid damage to the mobility around the stadium.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Madrid.\u2014 The High Court of Justice of Madrid (TSJM) has confirmed the suspension of the construction works of two underground car parks and a tunnel in the vicinity of the Santiago Bernab\u00e9u stadium, promoted by Real Madrid and authorized by the City Council of the capital.
