Egypt announced on Tuesday that the head of its intelligence service, General Hassan Rashad, traveled to Israel on Tuesday to hold meetings with Israeli and American officials on the “implementation” of the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.<\/p>\n
According to Al Qahera News channel, close to Egyptian Intelligence, Rashad left to discuss with Israeli officials “the entry of aid” humanitarian to the devastated Palestinian enclave, as well as the solution to “the obstacles facing the implementation” of the peace plan of the American president, Donald Trump.<\/p>\n
He also stated that the head of Egypt – a country that mediated in the conflict along with Qatar and the US – will also meet with the White House special envoy to the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, who is on an official visit to Israel along with Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, since this Monday.<\/p>\n
In Tel Aviv, the American vice president, JD Vance, is also present to oversee the implementation of the ceasefire, where, like Witkoff and Kushner, he will meet with the Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, among other high-ranking officials.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, delegations from the Palestinian factions Hamas, Islamic Jihad and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine are in Cairo to address the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, its management after the war or the disarmament of Hamas, Palestinian sources informed EFE yesterday.<\/p>\n
Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelaty, a key mediator between Israel and Hamas, already demanded this Monday that both parties comply with the obligations stipulated in the peace agreement.<\/p>\n
The truce began on October 10th and the Hamas government in the Gaza Strip denounces that since then Israel has violated the agreement about 80 times.
