We are sincerely concerned,\u201d said the official.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\nM\u00e9ndez pointed out that the <strong>main threat is no longer the intensity of the rains<\/strong>, but the <strong>extreme saturation of the soils<\/strong> after several days of continuous rainfall.\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;When the soils are saturated, everything that falls becomes surface runoff.
