Kennedy, 27 de Febrero, and Winston Churchill, registered moderate traffic and, in some sections, were practically empty, due to the measures established by the government to suspend non-essential work, which has significantly reduced public transport operations and vehicular flow.\n\nThe Emergency Operations Center (COE<\/a>) maintains various alert levels in the country, while the Government has reiterated its call to stay at home and avoid unnecessary travel until weather conditions improve.\n\n\n

“In the morning there were more people on the street and more movement. Now everything is slow and there are no public carts,” said Pedro Garc\u00eda, who was heading home.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\nThe Government decrees that preventive measures and the suspension of work will be maintained tomorrow, Saturday, in the provinces under red alert.\n\nThe combination of rains, semi-empty streets, and citizen compliance reflect an atmosphere of prudence in the Dominican capital in the face of the tropical phenomenon.\n\n\n
