All these measures are aimed at reducing speed, alerting drivers more clearly and organizing the road to prevent risky maneuvers.\n\nThe work is accompanied by the Mayor’s Office of the National District (ADN), the Santo Domingo Tourist Cluster and the Santo Domingo Hotels Association, which are integrated as strategic allies in the initiative.\n\n\n

You can also read: INTRANT has been running for 14 consecutive months<\/a><\/strong><\/h6>\n\n\nMorrison stated that this work responds to “**a historical debt to the road safety of the Malec\u00f3n**”, and emphasized that the Government of President Luis Abinader maintains as a priority the protection of life through multi-sector actions that are already affecting the reduction of road accidents. He stressed that the goal is to close the year with significantly lower figures, especially in the critical points of the city.\n\nThe INTRANT explained that the Malec\u00f3n, although it is one of the most visited and valued places by the citizenry, presents high levels of road risk. In the last three years, this road has recorded 20 serious accidents<\/strong>, 11 deaths and 41 injuries, figures that motivated the urgent intervention of the sections with the highest incidence of accidents.\n\n\n
