His rise continued in 2025, when he was crowned <strong>champion of the South Atlantic League<\/strong> at the head of the <strong>Brooklyn Cyclones<\/strong>, Advanced Class A affiliate, achieving the franchise&#8217;s first title in that circuit and the third in its history. Under his command, the Cyclones set a <strong>record of 72 victories<\/strong> in the regular season and a <strong>perfect postseason (4-0)<\/strong>.\n\nThat same year, G\u00f3mez was selected as the <strong>manager of the \u201cBreakout Game\u201d<\/strong> of the MLB preseason, facing his colleague and bench coach of the Licey, H\u00e9ctor Borg. In addition, he was named <strong>assistant manager to Albert Pujols<\/strong> for the upcoming <strong>World Baseball Classic<\/strong>, and previously was part of the Dominican coaching staff that won <strong>bronze in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games<\/strong>, where he served as batting and third base coach.\n\nWith the <strong>Tigres del Licey<\/strong>, G\u00f3mez reaches his fifth season, an organization where he has held positions from quality control coach to manager. He led the club to the <strong>2023-24 championship<\/strong> and to <strong>two consecutive Final Series<\/strong>, becoming the <strong>youngest champion manager in LIDOM history<\/strong> with 31 years and 324 days, surpassing Audo Vicente&#8217;s record (33 years and 175 days in 2012-13).\n\nG\u00f3mez also became the &#8220;seventh native manager&#8221; in the history of the Dominican league to win a title in his debut season, joining Fernando Tatis Sr., Audo Vicente, Jos\u00e9 Offerman, F\u00e9lix Ferm\u00edn, Tony Pe\u00f1a and Miguel Dilon\u00e9.\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SANTO DOMINGO.
